Game 6 between the Houston Rockets and Portland Trailblazers last night was another thriller. It was tied in the closing seconds before Chandler Parsons gathered a loose ball and laid it in to put the Rockets up 98-96 with less than a second left on the clock.
Portland called a timeout to inbound at half court, and Damian Lillard ended the Rockets’ season with the shot of his career.
As much as I love to see finishes like this one, I do feel bad for the Rockets. They played a hell of a game. Just when it seemed like everything was starting to go their way, Damian Lillard came along and changed everything in a fraction of a second.
Dwight Howard had a monster game down low, with 26 points and 11 boards, and James Harden dropped 34 on just 15 shots.
But none of that matters when you’re playing against the new Agent Zero (sorry Gilbert).
Have we seen this exact same situation work out in the exact same way against the Rockets. This play is no trick in the magic book, in fact, Portland fans may be experiencing deja vu.
